Policies
Children
We accept infants in arms (BYOC – bring your own crib!), and well-behaved and constantly supervised children 6 years or older. This is due to worries about the hot tub, not discrimination against adorable toddlers. We love to fuss over children. We have a wonderfully large dollhouse, train set and scads of toys and games to occupy them. Plus, we have just about every Disney DVD that exists. We also stock kids’ favorite cereals since Vegetable Garden Fritatta does not generally thrill the primary school set.
Pets
We personally love and adore animals! However, our own two dogs and cat get a little too excited by four legged visitors. About 4 miles down the road, there is a wonderful boarding facility that we use ourselves. You can just drop by to pick up your pooch for a walk or an outing, or to check in on your furry family member. The folks who run it love animals and care about their customers, both you and your precious pet.

Strictly non-smoking
For the comfort of all our guests, this is a completely smoke-free environment. Smoking is not only not allowed inside but is also not allowed anywhere on or near the property. Smokers, we can help you find a smoker-friendly inn nearby.
Security
We’re in a very safe country setting and we have an electric fence with parking inside on our grounds. Cyclists, we will be happy to lock your bicycles into our garage for their safe-keeping when not in use. Each room locks and has a key so that your belongings will be secure when away. Daily cleaning is optional, so if you want no one in your room while you are away, that can be arranged.
As part of our security measures, we have a curfew. We ask all guests to return for the night by 11:00 P.M. so that we can lock up the gate and home for the comfort and security of all.
Green Clean and Scent Free
Sensitive to chemicals? We use natural cleaning products and fresh country air, not an array of chemicals, so rest easy if you have chemical sensitivies. Let us know ahead of time if you are sensitive and we will make sure your room is stocked with pure and natural unscented bath products.
Worried about allergies? Some of our family members are highly allergic to cats, yet have no problem in our home. Our animals are bathed regularly, including the cat, and this removes problem dander. We are also happily flea free.
Let us know ahead of time if you’re allergic to feathers and we’ll replace your down comforters and pillows with the hypo-allergenic variety.
We also have optional air filters and humidifiers that can be placed in your room on request.
